Poo can have an impact on so many different areas of life with our children. Within this blog we share more about poo and the help available.
"Poo!" It is not always high on our list of topics to talk to our friends and family about...is it? "How are you? How is your poo this week?" Maybe, this is not how conversations usually progress with the general public or work colleagues, for good reason.
However, with our children, Poo "needs" to be a topic we "do" share and speak openly about, or at least, as a family being aware of "what" your child's Poo patterns are.
Why do we need to know about Poo?
Poo has a very important role within our childrens lives and is a vital function of the body. Poo is often referred to in a number of different terms, poop, faeces, excreta or even droppings. You may be able to think of a few more! Which ever way we refer to Poo, we need to be aware of how Poo is passed and the affects and influence it can have on our children and their bodies. Some children can be affected by Poo, through;
Poo "can" and "does" really affect how, when and what children do. Therefore, we really need to know childrens Poo patterns and the type of Poo they pass, to ensure their daily lives are not affected in anyway and they continue to thrive and develop in their own ways!
"National Poop Day", a great time to educate ourselves with where Poo comes from and how we can help children progress through knowing Poo types.
Poos` journey starts with "food", which is eaten, broken down and digested by the body. Poo then becomes the "waste" the part of the body, that is not needed by the body.
According to the Bristol Stool Chart, Poo is then able to be viewed through "seven" different types. Its "normal" to pass a Poo, either three times a day or three times a week, through passing a Type 4.
